Dear parents/carers,
As the winter chill begins to settle in, we want to thank you for your continued support in keeping attendance strong. Every day in school counts, and your efforts help ensure our scholars stay on track and thrive—even on those frosty mornings!
Moving towards the end of November, we’re seeing our Y11 mock exam window end. Our scholars have shown incredible resilience, focus, and positivity throughout this period, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they’ve risen to the challenge. If your child is in Year 11, please put Monday 8th December in your diary, as we will be hosting our next Mock Results Event, where we’ll be sharing results with you and your child, offering guidance and support and celebrating scholars’ ongoing success!
Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce our Winter Showcase on Wednesday, 3rd December. This will be a seasonal follow up to our fantastic Summer Talent Showcase in July – if you’d like to attend, look out for details in the newsletter below and in future correspondance!

Winter Showcase
Lunch Menu
A Meal Deal consists of the following:
- A meal meal and either a pudding or water
- A sandwich and either a cookie or water
- A pasta pot and either a cookie or water
Nut free school
A reminder that Astrea Academy Dearne is a nut free zone. We have scholars and members of staff in school who have severe nut allergies. Please do not allow children to bring in any products containing nuts.
